Wildacres Residency

This series of work was done at an Artist Residency I was awarded at Wildacres in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. The whole area was astoundingly beautiful, raw and organic. I felt inspired every morning seeing the mountain views, dense trees, and the changing light and colors of the landscape and sky. It was so amazing to venture out every day taking long hikes nearby to get a feel for the area and making every waterfall a new destination for me to paint on-site. I felt like the creeks, rivers, and waterfalls were the energy and life force coursing through and connecting me to the spirituality of the area.
